Dial Carpentry and Plumbing takes the protection of your privacy very seriously. Our website does not track your personal activity on our site, any cookies that are active collect only minimal anonymised usage data, we do not retain any identifiable data about your use of our website.
What type of information do we collect from you?
The personal information we collect from you is limited to your contact information in the form of email address and phone number and your correspondence address and/or the address at which works will be carried out. This data is the minimum amount of data that is needed to complete any work contracted by you.
How is your information used?
In general terms, and depending on which services you engage us to deliver, as part of providing our agreed services we may use your information to:
Contact you by post, email or telephone in direct reference to work which has been requested by you, or to communicate necessary changes to agreed works.
Verify your identity where this is required
Understand your needs and how they may be met
Maintain our records in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
We are required by HMRC to retain invoicing data for a minimum of 6 years, this information will include your name and contact address. To ensure compliance with all such requirements it is the policy of the firm to retain all data for a period of seven years from the date of the last invoice. In this instance we refer to financial years from April to April.
In the case that data is collected from you in the process of providing a quotation for possible future works, if we are not contracted to carry out this work we will only retain your data for a period of 2 years, unless you contact us to request us to delete your information sooner than this.
Who has access to your information?
We will never sell or rent your information to any third parties.
Any staff with access to your information have a duty of confidentiality under the ethical standards that Dial Carpentry and Plumbing is required to follow and are bound by the General Data Protection Regulations
Occasionally we may need to share your contact number and your physical address (or other location where work is being carried out) with our trusted partners in order to carry out work for you.
How you can access and update your information
Keeping your information up to date and accurate is important to us. We commit to regularly review and correct where necessary, the information that we hold about you. If any of your information changes, please email or write to us, or call us using the ‘Contact information’ noted below.
